Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Co. was founded by Joyce Anderson and his brothers in 1947. They operated as residential and commercial mechanical contractors. The electric division was added at a later date.

In January, 1977, Joyce sold the company to Gerald McElhinny and Gene Murray, who continued to operate as mechanical and electrical contractors. They changed the name of the company to Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Inc.

Kenneth J. Muchmore bought the Electrical, heating and air conditioning service division from "Mac" and Gene in January, 1985. The company was named Anderson Bros. Electric & Service, Inc., and operated as electric, heating and air conditioning service contractors, serving both residential and commercial customers. The business was located at 1920 Ave A. In January, 1986, Anderson Bros. Electric & Service, Inc. moved its location to 1600 E. Hwy. 30.

In May, 1987, Anderson Bros. Electric & Service, Inc. partnered with Snell Services, Inc. The partnership purchased Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Inc. and renamed the company Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc. At this time the rest of the business was relocated to 1600 E. Hwy 30.

Growth continued, and in 1990, Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc. moved its operations to the current location at 2600 E. Hwy 30, Rovar Park #8. In April, 1999, Anderson Bros. purchased the building located at 2600 E. Hwy 30, Rovar Park #10. This is used as a sheet metal fabrication shop, warehouse and tool room.

Kenneth J. & Alana Muchmore bought the Snell Services, Inc. partnership shares on July 1, 2004 and now own all of Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc. Kenneth continues to serve as President and CEO of the company.

The company continues to do business as an electric, plumbing, heating and air conditioning service contractor for residential and commercial customers in central Nebraska with offices in Kearney and Holdrege.
