History of Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Co. was started in 1947, founded by Joyce Anderson and his brothers. They operated as a residential as well as commercial mechanical contractors. The electric division was added at a later date.
In January of 1977, Joyce sold the company to Gerald McElhinny and Gene Murray, who continued to operate a mechanical & electrical contractors. They changed the name of the company to Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Inc..
In January of 1985, Kenneth Muchmore bought the Electrical and HVAC service division from Mac and Gene. The company was named Anderson Bros. Electric & Service, Inc., and operated as electrical and HVAC service contractors, serving both residential and commercial customers.
In May of 1987, Anderson Bros. Electric & Service, Inc. sold 67% of its shares to Snell Services, Inc., and together they purchased Anderson Bros. Plumbing & Heating, Inc. They named the company Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc. At this time the rest of the business was relocated to the present location.
In August of 2004, Anderson Bros. Electric, Plumbing & Heating, Inc. purchased back the 67% ownership from Snell Services, Inc.
With the whole company under one roof, we found it necessary to update the accounting, and computerize the estimating department.
The company continues to do business as an electrical and mechanical contractor for residential and commercial customers. We also maintain a service department in each area.
